American Academy of Otolaryngology: Acupuncture an option for patients with allergic rhinitis

In recently updated clinical practice guidelines for allergic rhinitis published by the American Academy of Otolaryngology, acupuncture is listed as a treatment option for clinicians based on “a preponderance of benefit over harm”.

The Guideline recommends that clinicians may offer acupuncture, or refer to a clinician who can offer acupuncture, for patients with AR who are interested in nonpharmacologic therapy.
