Nobel prize for the discovery of an antimalarial drug from a Chinese herb

84-year old Tu Youyou becomes the first Chinese woman to be awarded a Nobel Prize for her discovery of artemisinin, the malaria drug, from a Chinese herb sweet wormword (Artemisia annua).
